Did I miss an announcement?
When my 11.2 box and laptop updated to 4.4.4 I was wondering about 11.3 which was supposed to release with 4.4.3
I just checked the factory repos and it's 4.4.4
Looks like that will be in the 11.3 release!

Lets hope that KDE 4.4.4 is indeed in the final release of openSUSE 11.3. I did add the KDE:4 Factory repository to my 11.3 RC1 install and switched to it without any problems in Yast Software Management.

So, is there someplace that is positing online the openSUSE 11.3 repositories that exist now or are you just hunting for them by changing 11.2 to 11.3 in your existing repositories?

Good to see they now also have Kde 4.4.4, as RC1 comes with the old 4.4.3.
Which repository would I need to add if I wanted to upgrade to Kde 4.5 Beta 2?
Is it enough to add a repository for it, or do I need to do something else as well?
Add this repo

IIRC the program freeze was at 4.4.3 so that's what you'll get in the RC now & the Public release in July.
Adding 4.4.4 to you install whichever it is,is up to you.
Challenge your preconceptions, or they will challenge you.

We are seeking clarification. Here is some discussion from the IRC
Code:p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } [06:14] <caf4926> kde4.4.4 has been pushed in to factory, will this transfer to 11.3rc2? [06:18] * AlbertoP hopes not [06:21] <caf4926> AlbertoP: why you say that? [06:22] <AlbertoP> too late? [06:23] <AlbertoP> but well... I gave up on conservative choices ;-) [06:23] --> sshaw has joined this channel (~decriptor@53.250.sfcn.org). [06:28] <-- captain_magnus has left this server (Ping timeout: 265 seconds). [06:32] <caf4926> AlbertoP: so it will be 4.4.3 and maybe that is why we have Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.3/ [06:32] <AlbertoP> or maybe it will be a huge patch.... I don't know (not a dev) [06:33] --> captain_magnus has joined this channel (~mboman@opensuse/member/MBoman). [06:35] <caf4926> AlbertoP: well just looking at the repos it seems like 4.4.4 would be a obvious move for 11.3, guess we'll have to see... [06:35] <AlbertoP> yep [06:35] <AlbertoP> !8ball will 4.4.4 make it in 11.3? :) [06:35] <SUSEhelp> AlbertoP: Yes. [06:36] <AlbertoP> hmm...Geeko's 8ball says yes ;) [06:36] <AlbertoP> but it's weekend... the lizard might be drunk :) [06:43] --> adrianS has joined this channel (~adrian@opensuse/member/AdrianSuSE). [06:43] <caf4926> As i think about this I'm just going back to check the repos [06:44] <caf4926> For example No 11.3 repo exists yet in here: KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/Desktop/ [06:45] <caf4926> Normally this repo: KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_Factory/ - would reflect the version for the next release [06:46][Notify]oldcpu is online (irc.opensuse.org). [06:46] <caf4926> But they already said the freeze was 4.4.3, yet the repo has shifted to 4.4.4 [06:46] <caf4926> I had asked when 4.4.4 was released if this repo would shift from 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 but I was told No [06:47] <caf4926> But as you see it has shifted, so I assume 4.4.4 will be pushed to 11.3?!

OK this confirms it via ML
Hi Gang
Just like in the World Cup, we had a surprise result with the unfancied
Version *****s getting a sneaky ball past the plodding Release Planning.
We're shipping KDE SC 4.4.4 with 11.3 after all. We completed a review of the
changes since 4.4.3 and satisfied ourselves that we won't cause more problems
than we solve by including it post-RC1
Coincidentally this lets us give the test update system a thorough work-out.
If you are using RC1, please register the update repo
Index of /update/11.3-test and you will find 4.4.4 there
to install in a couple of days.
