    Exclamation Firefox scrolling problems

    Hi there,

I seem to be having a problem with my firefox browser... Version 3.5.6

When I am browsing on a page (Especially if there are graphics on the page) and try to scroll, either up or down, I often have the problem that if I hold down the scroll slider on my touchpad, when I release it, it just carries on scrolling. Sometimes if I click somewhere on the page it will stop, but not always. Secondly, when it scrolls, it is terribly slow, and seems to almost stutter trying to go either up or down. GMail is one of the worst with this...

I thought that that sounded like a graphics problem, but I have neither composing or effects active... I do have the free Redeon driver installed though, and was wondering if that is maybe a problem.

To test that it is indeed a problem with firefox, I have tried the same pages in Google Chrome, and they work beautifully.

    Thanks caf,

I have done that. Autoscroll wasn't selected, but Smooth was and I have unchecked it.

The result is much better... By no means perfect, as it does still stutter, but at least it is stuttering faster now so that I can navigate around webpages faster. It is still slower and more jerky than Chrome though...

    Thanks for your help.
