BBC Podcast Titles

How can I download BBC podcasts so that their titles are included in file name? For example I have been able to record In Our Time (Science) podcasts as mp3 files but they are all given the title file:///home/alastair/Downloads/In_Our_Time/Science/bbc.co.uk.BBC - Podcasts - In Our Time Archive: Science_1.mp3 with the ...Science_1 incrementing with each download.
The BBC website has the title as the link for starting the download but how do I get this incorporated into filename?

I have been using ant to grab the download but could use get_iplayer if somebody can tell me how?

get_iplayer is what I use, and it's pretty straightforward. For example,
to pull The News Quiz, I do:

get_iplayer 'News Quiz' -g

If you omit '-g' you'll get a list of what's found with the query.

Hi Jim,
Yes I have been working with get_iplayer since my post and have found index of all the podcasts I want and yes they get put in files with titles as needed. Now what is command syntax for incrementing index number after each file download and setting up batch process? Any suggestions?

Have a look at the PVR options, that seems to be what most people use for
this type of thing. Either that, or a cron job set up to run on a regular
basis.

get_iplayer is smart enough to not download stuff you've already
downloaded.
