I don't know how you'd do that from within Linux necessarily, but have
you tried rebooting to see what your startup screens (before any OS
starts) show, or what the BIOS itself shows if you go in there? Tried
opening the case and looking at the label?

    Good luck.

hmmmm right, I have been searching about my RAM and wanted to find out.
but is there a way in the console to find it out (not that I don't want to google, I just want to know if it possible)

I have also been searching fro a CPU-z for Linux, but I didn't find anything.

edit: @ab@novel: ok, I just want to know it because I can't to buy a new RAM for my PC

If you have your motherboards manual it should be in there. If you don't, get the manual in pdf format from the site of the motherboards manufacturer.

Might also be mentioned somewhere in the BIOS.
