Default How to have widgets in KDE 4.x

    Hi,
    I use KDE 4.1.3.
I come from Windows and I used to have installed the google panel on the desktop with some widgets installed. Is possible to have a right panel with widgets in KDE 4 ?
    Thanks

    Thank you.
I have installed them but I do not like because the gadgets are flying over the windows. There is not any right panel to contain them as in the Windows version.
Is there any other gadgets with their own panel and not all them over the windows?
    Thanks

Hi, try Screenlets. Its there in the repos.

After installing, launch a screenlet called "sidebar". If its not there get it here: Sidebar - Screenlets.org

Thank a lot. Something like this is what I was looking for.
But, how can I make that the windows do not be over the sidebar when I maximize them?
    Thanks

Not sure but if you right click on screenlet, under "window" there should be "above", "below" and such options. Play around yourself. I'm not using screenlets now.
