    Default Proprietary Broadcom drivers

    Hi, all.
When I first tried to install OpenSuSE 11.0 on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525), it couldn't configure my Broadcom 4312 wi-fi adapter the way Ubuntu 8.04.1 did. The problem was, that there are basically two ways to get this piece of hardware to work: either Ndiswrapper or proprietary drivers developed by Dell. The latter was first introduced in Ubuntu 8.04 and was improved in 8.10. But those drivers weren't in OpenSuSE.
My question is, whether 11.1 will include those drivers.

Maybe Novell/openSUSE isn't prepared to "defend and indemnify Broadcom
and its licensors from and against any damages, costs, liabilities,
settlement amounts and/or expenses (including attorneys' fees) incurred
in connection with any claim, lawsuit or action by any third party that
arises or results from the use or distribution of any and all Software
by the Licensee except as contemplated herein. "

I know that's pretty typical (irresponsible) legalese... but still...

The fwcutter driver IS included in OpenSuSE 11.0; it's installed by issuing
    sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
    Just follow the instructions here:
    b43 - Linux Wireless
    Good luck!
