While following this thread; Ubuntu was really bad a user commented that ettercap wasn't build for 11.4. So looking on OBS user bastianfriedrich had packaged it up, however was failing to build. After branching the package the spec file was way out of date so using spec-cleaner and spec2changes a general tidy up was done, however it was still failing to build, so had to add some additional patches but was stuck on "Statement might be overflowing a buffer in strncat" error. ...
