Hi to all,

The only bugs I know are the ones you stamp on

To date I have not been able to install Beta 3 on My AMD6400 dual core, I Have tried 3 different mother boards but to know avail.
Beta 2 part installed but would not reboot as it did not install the the boot track. I could boot it using the10.3
install DVD boot function
It has taken 14 hours to download Beta 3 386 instead of the the 64 bit version.
It did not install On the 6400amd. It returned an error no cd-dvd device. Strange as it used 1 of them to get
that far.

It did install on a Intel Lenover V3000 200 laptop, and on An AMD 3400 Compaq laptop

It looks quick a very good,I like it a lot

Perhaps write a bug report if you get the chance.

Im running that chip on a Asus Crosshair board, seems to run ok but i cant see my dvd drives but that is another problem and not able to connect to the interent, but I have done another post for that. Thing I did notice was i had to update the bios to get the chip work on this board as it was not fully supported, and under 10.3 it would not see the cpu information under konqueror but is fine under 11.0 beta 3.

Odd installed on my ASUS board with AMD64 X2 5000+ cpu's without issue.
Maybe you've got a bad disc or a funky ROM drive.
I'm no expert just guessing...

I'm posting this from an X2 3800 system with Asus MB running Beta 3 installed from DVD. Did you check the disk before you installed? There is an option to do this during installation

Good luck,

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think the problem is the AMD 6400 dual core. I borrowed a 6000 AMD dual core and it installed.

A big improvement over 10.3. Yast is so very much quicker. Looking forward to the RC1 sometime today,

will then try the 6400 again.

Anyone know where the download will be from?

Thanks again
