Hmm, so I was thinking "its time to try kde4" so I installed it in 10.3 and started it up, and i was greated by a few errors, and then i noticed there is no kmenu, and that there is nothing in the context menu... lol, and its in beta, where are all the features? i have seen screenshots of kde and they are a LOT better than this. anyway, I sure hope some of those ideas really do get moved into KDE4, Lets see it

This is still a BETA don't expect miracles.
The default kde on 10.3 is kde 3 http://news.opensuse.org/?p=219

I think what you have seen are screen shots which do not mean a working system

It said it was beta1... and yes i have seen the fakes, and thats what im hoping they put in --- the tasks menu.
BTW: when something is in beta, I would expect it has something to show, all beta2 has is plasma (at least when its started), and not even the crucial parts of what i consider to be KDE. (eg klipper, and kcontrol...)

My apologies didn't follow the link just read what you posted.

Had you written default is kde3 with some kde4 applications I'd of skipped gg:some search lol

But I'm more than happy I think you mentioned some where else if they want bleeding edge then theres other OS's for that. As for can't see it I actually can see it a lot of the underneath is implemented now.

I guess its upto upstream and whether it will be ready soonish. I suspect that if they do decide to update mid release then Suse will be one of the first, if not from what I've seen Fed may get there.

Personally as I saw on one thread from googling I hope they leave kde4 out if it. This is a stable distro let it be bug reported and be perfect for the next release.

Lol

But I did test kde4 on one of the previous suse 10.3 releases and was not impressed. Hopefully when am ready to do my 10.3 upgrade in December, kde4 will be ready.

True, beta is not there yet!
