being impatient and with RC1 out I decided to risk it and install it on my main machine
I have encrypted (separate) /home partition - and it is software RAID 1 partition
it was all smooth sailing when swiching from 10.0 to 10.1 and than 10.2
and as before I "obsoleted" my old root partition and went with the new installation option for 10.3 RC1
during installation yast had no trouble recognizing encrypted home partition
- I was able to manually specify enrypted RAID1 partition as my /home directory (and password was accepted)

however to my surprise after installation was completed and system restarted - I was NOT asked for the password unlocking the partition
so now I have no access to my /home )-:

I've read the release notes and I have noticed the switch technology switch from dmcrypt -
although the release notes claim that cryptotab is still fully supported.
So now I am not sure if what can be wrong with my setup ?
Has anybody else experienced such crypto problems when upgrading?

thanks

I have not experienced this problem as i haven't tried suse 1.03 rc1. I am hoping you made a back up of the directory/partition in question.
