I just downloaded suse 9.2. That is my network card that was detected. The only way to conect ot the internet is via ethernet cable. I can get it on my own if someone could point me in the right direction to start looking. Thanks in advanced for the help.

just out of question, why on earth download 9.2? it's so old now and not supported. wireless will be much much easier on suse 10.3, the current version, or even wait another 3weeks and get suse 11.

depending on your kernel, as 9.2 is so old ( i can't remember the kernel version ) you may be able to compile the driver from here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_res...mp;submit=Go%21
but i wouldn't count on it working,as it needs to be a 2.6.8 minimum kernel

If I go and download 10.3 how do I install it? Just go to the suse sight and download it from a mirror and its that simple or is there something else involved to it.

How hard is it to dowload? I used the cd for 9.2. I just installed 9.2 back on the computer so I would like to upgrade. Does it work like a cd?

depending on your bandwidth it's very easy to download. As for upgrade, i wouldn't do it. too many libraries/programs have dramatically changed. you would have serious problems with an upgrade. Better to do a clean install. If you download the livecd you can install from that, but, to get the full benefit i would download the dvd & install from that. Also, to give you some idea, have a read of this http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/in...howtopic=60847

So what you are saying is that I should burn it to a cd and then install it from there is that correct?

I think that I will just buy the cd like I did for 9.2. It may be easier for me that way

you can burn to cd or purchase it. if you are not confident in burning a cd/dvd it would be better to purchase it
