Hello everyone.
I have a annoying problem, but I do have a fix. Anyway, when I return from suspend2disk, my wireless card does not start to search for networks. Instead, just the power light is on. So, I have to go into YaST->Network Card->And then change the Global Option to Traditional Method with ifup and then finish. This seems to activate the card and then it starts scanning. And then cos I have all the keys in Network Manager (I use my laptop in loads of diff locations so easier to use that), I have o go back into Network Card and select Network Manager in Global options. Now I have tried the usual of etc/init.d/network restart but no luck. Any ideas to "activate the card" or force the thing to start scanning? I also tried to have the device activate at boot, on hot-plug, cable connection etc and no joy. I have also tried pulling the card out of the PCMCIA slot but no luck. Any ideas? Thank you very much. |

*Bump*
Any ideas? I was thinking surely when you have it set to "hotplug", if should just simply "activate" the card and start scanning??? Thanks. |

Yes, if you set it to user controlled and at hotplug, then SuSE 'should' see the card again. After unplug/plug.
Check in a console as root and use the command: tail -f /var/log/messages Yank the card out and watch the magic Plug it in and watch again This might shine light to the issue... |
