Hello all.
I have just started with Suse 10.3 and I'm trying to get my wireless working. After installation, inside of Yast, network card, my Linksys WMP54G was automatically detected. However, when I click on the configure it tells me that I need to upgrade my firmware. It appears to be using a ralink rt61 driver. I have downloaded Ralink's latest linux firmware for my chipset but I'm at a loss as to what to do with it? |

You probably need to copy the firmware to: /lib/firmware
Any easy way to do this, if you're not familiar with the Linux command line, is to use the Super User File Manager - found in Applications -> System -> File Manager. You'll need to enter the root password to proceed. Right click on the firmware file, select Copy to... and navigate through Root folder -> lib -> firmware and select copy. Then reboot. Hope this helps. Paul |

And when I ifconfig I get: Quote:
