Laptop: Toshiba satellite A45
Operating system: OpenSUSE 10.3
Wireless Device: Linksys Wireless- G usb with speed booster
Model Number: WUSB54GSC

OK... i have the original CD that came with the Wireless USB it has the WUSB54GSC.inf file
i have done

ndiswrapper -i /media/sr0/Drivers/WUSB54GSC.inf
(that installs it off CD)

then:
ndiswrapper -l

and i get WUSB54GSC Invalid driver!
Ive tried a couple other drivers but i get the same thing

the one off the CD, when i go to /etc/ndiswrapper (may not be correct directory, but i did go to the ndiswrapper file) i can see the WUSB54GSC folder withe the driver inside along with another file

i continued to:
/sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper
/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -m

says ive already made alias (which i have)

Then:
/usr/sbin/ifconfig wlan0 up
No such file or directory
/sbin/ifconfig wlan0 up
Unknown interface
/usr/sbin/iwconfig wlan0 up
Unknown command up
/usr/sbin/iwlist wlan0 scan
Interface doesnt support scaning

When I install Drivers it says
Installing...
Couldn't find SourceDisksFiles section- continuing anyway...
couldn't get manufacturer section- installation maybe incomplete

When i try to open a Makefile i get:
Permission Denied

Helllllllllp!

P.S. i had another older version which is a pci card for linksys and i was able to get that working... because i had the appropriate drivers, but the range it can pick up is not so great... when i shutdown my computer and turn it on later it says no wireless device or something like that. how do i get it connecting and starting up automatically when i boot up? (for bothe when i get both working)

unfortunately the usb device isn't listed. going on info so far, you could try the drivers from here http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/ also, when going the ndiswrapper route, you need to include the .sys & .cat files as well.
