Hi all,

just bought a new hp laptop, and everything working great. Am having a slight issue with the wireless card, as when i do a normal boot, it works just fine not problems, but then when i close my laptop and let it go into hybernation, and then later come back and open it to resume, the wireless card does not work. It says that the card is either not on or there are no networks available

anyone had this same problem, and if so is there a solution. I have installed the latest kernel, if that might mean anything.

have you tried turning it to "on cable connection" in yast>network devices>network cards?

From a bit of googling think this a common complaint, now I don't use suspend, but going on http://en.opensuse.org/Pm-utils this page you have Creating your own hooks.

I think you've just got to make hooks on resume to modprobe them in again, first I would check to make sure the mods are being removed with lsmod, after resume, if so then hopefully some of this should help.

Got a little confused seems there's a couple of ways of suspending and I don't know what way is being used.

Also if rcnetwork brings back up the network perhaps you can fix it by using a custom hook doing so.
