Hi there
Suse say the rt2500 chip should work with 10.0
kde (yast) recognize the pci card but I am not able to check any wlan specific items like ssid or wep...

after I read all the topics about wlan and suse, I downloaded rt2500-cvs-daily.tar.gz
after typed in 'make' followed output occurs:

make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.13-15.18-obj/x86_64/default'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.13-15.18-obj/x86_64/default'
rt2500.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1

I am not deep in Linux yet and hope to find a helping hand here

It brings back memories this trusty rt2500...

I always used ndiswrapper for this type of card on SuSE 10.0.

There are good howto's on this forum for using ndiswrapper. In post 3 here you can see the rough outline of how to proceed.
(You have to install ndiswrapper, blacklist rt2500 module and use the WinXP drivers shipped with the card)

(Edit, Welcome to this forum! )
