Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop Wireless Card Not Working With Ndiswrapper

I have purchased a Dell Vostro 1500 recently. I installed opensuse 10.3. However, the wireless card was not detected. My wireless card is Dell based on broadcomm chipset. My output of lspci-v is given below:

I decided to use ndiswrapper and installed the packages from the community repository. My ndiswrapper versions are given below:

I copied the driver files of my wireless card and installed the drivers with the command ndiswrapper -i. After the installation, I get the following message on my console for ndiswrapper -l

I then gave the command modprobe ndiswrapper. After this i added the wireless card through Yast as give in

However, on my network manager, I am not able to detect any wireless networks. Further the command iwconfig in the console gives me the following results.

lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

Where have I gone wrong? Can somebody guide me on what should be done to get the wireless card working.

You have newer nic but same brand. Hope it will push you in the right direction.
