Well from http://lwn.net/Articles/239962/ here there's plenty of reading but did you really use app armor?
The default profile protects little. ping, klogd, syslog-ng, syslogd, avahi-daemon, identd, mdnsd, ncsd, ntpd, traceroute. Plus are sure they've dismissed the whole team, I thought the kernel guys had given the kernel the hooks they need, but far from sure. I'm with eberhard TBH it's the patching that's probably more crucial, curious what model do you think is more secure? I'm lead to believe that proper kernel security will involve patching a kernel. Edit Found link http://www.heise.de/english/newsticker/news/97383 so I suppose the ? is will Suse still continue to use it? If you're are really concerned you still have 2 other routes to consider out of 4 I know off RSBAC, grsecurity, SELinux and AppArmor. |
