I've never heard of a "triple layer" firewall on "just" linux. ... I suppose if one was running Linux as a Virtual session in VMWARE on a Windoze PC, where that Windoze PC is on a home LAN behind a router's firewall, then one could claim they have 3 firewalls, and hence a triple layer firewall, protecting them from the Internet. ... ie..

- main hardware router & firewall,
- WinXP PC firewall
- Linux OS firewall (installed on vmware)

For example, my wife's PC is on a subnet to our main home LAN, .. she has 3 firewalls between her and the internet:
- our main router firwall,
- her wireless router (which plugged in to the main router) firewall,
- her SUSE-10.0 firewall.
