hello everyone...is it possible to secure the folders inside the "home" folder...
like home->cost, technical home->technical->folder a could i out some password on a folder so that when a user opens it he/she would be asked to input the password...cause i know you could just adjust the "Permissions" which is the read, write, and execute...thank you all |

Guess the easiest way of the top of my head would be to make root own it or another user with a unique group.
You wouldn't get prompted but only they could see it, I just did it with a folder and root open up file manager browse to the file change owner and group to root. You maybe able to create a user without a home then you could su owner Then perhaps you would be able to manipulate the folder, though just trying I found some apps lacking. Perhaps it'll give you something to work with. |

How about encrypting it? Kgpg will prompt for the password every time anyone, including root, attempts to open it.
