Guten Abend,

> lspci
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (rev b0)

Kurz: Ich bekomme Wake Up on LAN (WOL) nicht zum Laufen.

Tipp 1 den ich gefunden habe:
In /etc/init.d/halt.local:
ethtool -s eth0 wol g

Tipp2 gefunden:
In /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0:
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS='wol g'

Dort (Im Device Manger):
ShutdownWake=ON
SleepPowerSaving=OFF
WakeUpCapabilities=MagicPacket

Danke fuer eure Hilfe

Good morning,

I installed Suse Linux 10.3 on a new Linux Box.
Motherboard is a ASUS P5K.

On this board there is a Ethernet Conroller:
> lspci
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (rev b0)

In short: I cant get Wake Up on LAN (WOL) running.

Hint 1 i find:
Inside /etc/init.d/halt.local:
ethtool -s eth0 wol g

Hint 2 find:
Inside /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0:
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS='wol g'

This helped in that matter that the LED on the link stays ON, even after shutdown.
But the box does not awake.

After 2 days of search i get helpless.

I have a small Windows partition (XP) there it works fine.
There (In Device Manger):
ShutdownWake=ON
SleepPowerSaving=OFF
WakeUpCapabilities=MagicPacket

Does anybody have WOL with Attansic, Suse 10.3 running ?

Does the driver support WOL proper, any known bugs ?
Do i have to activate Power Managent for the Attansic controller ?
(In Suse 10.3 i cant find a Power Mangement for the LAN controller.)

Thanks for your help
