I try to use the "Local Network" icon in SuSE 9.0, and that's what I get:

I tried to search in the internet, but still didn't find any solution. :-( Any ideas? |

Well I can only report that I have the same problem under SuSE 9.1, I'm not sure how well the "Local Network" is already developed under KDE.
Did you already check the KDE website? |

It used to work in 9.0 for me. This problem didn't start unitil I upgraded to 9.1.

I've noticed that it is kind of flakey. I've had that error and then reinstalled the system and not had the error. I'm not sure why it does that though.

So I'm not alone there.

Do you happen to be including the workgroup or domain name in the SAMBA connection?
smb://<Domain or workgroup>/<system name>/<share> I have found that if you use what I have above it won't connect. I have had better luck with taking out the Domain/Workgroup qualifier. -Grim |
