ARCHIVES - Multimedia Don't know how to watch DVDs using mplayer? Asking yourself what the heck mplayer is? This is the right place to ask.

if i have a directory say containing about 50 video files, and i want to play 10 of these back to back (i.e. as a playlist) with only one player window, is it possible to do this in mplayer or smplayer? kaffeine does it, but for some reason with me kaffeine is jerky upon some files, where vlc is not. vlc sometimes does not open after opening 10-20files (only small files of about 4MB or so), but if i select 10files with mplayer, it opens up 10windows....not good. but i cant ask it to open directory, since i don't want to play all those files.

is this do-able?

thanks,

Ross.
