As you can see it's reading cd ok. But when I choose play cd it sits there for 3-4 mins saying reading playlist and when it finally is ready it is skipping in/out constantly. I checked gnome system monitor but the cpu usage is ok. CD's play fine in Rhythmbox. Amarok play's my mp3's fine.I'm running openSUSE 10.3 under gnome.Any suggestions on what's going on here...
thanx....

try changing the default engine. i think there are 2 installed by default, a yau up (or something like that i can't remember off top of head) and xine. which ever is default, try changing it. i had this problem ages ago, and that fixed it.
