Update: Stumbled upon this http://en.opensuse.org/Synce
Am trying it out Update: After reading the above and this http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2.../msg02418.html I have reached a stage and I'm stuck. On giving /usr/local/sbin/odccm as root, I get ** ERROR **: Failed to get bus name: Connection ":1.4" is not allowed to own the service "org.synce.odccm" due to security policies in the configuration file aborting... Aborted I tried /etc/init.d/dbus force-reload followed by /usr/local/sbin/odccm -f Same error message. Any ideas? |

I finally got odccm running. I solved the above problem by going to
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager.conf and adding this <allow own="org.synce.odccm"/> to the section <policy user="root"> Reference: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=345176&page=2 Update: Does not go beyond this screen, I'm stuck
