I have the ability to playback DVDs following the community instructions. However, the "refresh rate"? seems way too slow, as a result the film looks blurred.
I tried the hwprobe=-modules.pata, but that did not make any difference. |

give us some specs, video card, processor, ram, etc etc...which video player are you using so on and so forth

so it is like you say a refresh rate problem.... perhaps a xorgconfig via command line |

edit ooops sorry said the wrong thing did you try reinstalling your graphic drivers and running su your password sax2 -r |

did you reboot?
you may have to edit your xorg config files to the specs your monitor supports, though I wouldn't want to begin telling exactly unless i knew what your monitor did support....you would have to make a backup copy of your xorg config files before hand, because if you don't know what youre doing you can seriously mess things up... |

check this especially about the vid driver , the problem though is it is for the 950

well read the above link closely it links here but gives you a hint (XrandR) that may help before messing with config it links to intels documentation on another link I sent, here it is again.
intels own docs browse through the linux on thinkpad link where it applies to you, then follow it to intels documentation....setting refresh rates res etc without reboot by that command |
