ARCHIVES - Multimedia Don't know how to watch DVDs using mplayer? Asking yourself what the heck mplayer is? This is the right place to ask.

I've surfed the site and haven't been able to find this issue so if it is a dupe please send me the link to the thread.

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook S7211 with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

The install runs just fine and the initial boot is fine as well. AFTER I run all the mandatory updates the screen them shifts and offsets itself to the left.

The boot screen is snugged up to the top left side and there is about on inch of white space and the left and bottom. Upon logging in, the entire screen has the backdrop but the panel is shifted about an inch up and does not go all the way to the right side of the screen. Additionally when I maximize a document it will only go as wide as the panel.

I have attempted all kins of hacks to my xorg.conf file to no avail. This is the SECOND laptop I have had thisissue with and I still cannnot find a solution.

Any Ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.
