Hello,
I have a problem.., I have got notebook Acer Travelmate 2302LCi with installed Opensuse 10.3. I installed win32 codecs all, mplayer, but still I cant see a video (avi file). I hear sound from video, but I dont see any frames. Instead of I see only blue screen. I tried Kaffeine and Mplayer.
Please, can you help me?

Thanks

then use the kde one click install or gnome one click depending what you are using. i used this and it worked a treat, able to play all kinds of video stuff now on kaffeine. you can also download vlc play and use the 1click install, vlc can play dvds too let me know how it goes.

A couple of possibilities:

a. if you have an Intel Graphic driver on this Acer, it could be you need to switch Graphic drivers (see the openSUSE-10.3 release note which talks of this problem); http://www.suse.com/relnotes/i386/openSUSE...OTES.en.html#13

b. if you look at mplayer (or the smplayer front end to mplayer) you will see that you can select different video outputs from your graphic device to work with your multimedia video player (such as mplayer/smplayer). You should try the different settings in your video player, to see if one of them works with your graphic device.
