ARCHIVES - Multimedia Don't know how to watch DVDs using mplayer? Asking yourself what the heck mplayer is? This is the right place to ask.

I am running Suse 10.0 on an old machine (P3, 450 Mhz).

It has an ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 1X/2X video card.

Is there any way I can enable 3D graphics? The "Enable 3D Graphics Acceleration" button in Yast>Hardware>Video Card is greyed out, and I can't find any clues on the ATI website.

I would really appreciate any help. I just don't know where to start!

Did you install the drivers from ATI?

Sorry for the delay in replying.

You've hit the problem right on the head! The card is an old one (1999) and I can't find any drivers on the ATI site for it.

I have looked at the DRI project website, where I think the answer may lie, but the whole process looks incredibly complicated.

Any advice would be VERY gratefully received!
