Getting Powermanagemant To Work.

Hi. Installation of opensuse 10.3 on a brand new intel mainbord did hang. I did l.ike nmanual states, tried to install witoutAPCI. Installation went throu. Then i could not boot, but booted via the cd to harddriv, and that worked. I went into settings and rewrote the bootinfo and then it all works fine.
But, computer wont turn off itself when i choose shut down. The proceedindicator goes allt to the left then nothing more. I can hear and feel the harddiscs turning off and spin down but all other power is still on.
How to solve?

if the grub shut down screen is still on (the green back ground with the white line going across),press esc and it will tell you what it's hanging on and maybe someone can help you. so basically, when you ask it to shut down, it very nearly almost does, but doesn't completely turn off?
