HI All,

I am very new to the Linux Operating System and I would like to Install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 .

I have the below system with the specification

Mother Board - Jetway M2A692-GDG AMD 690G and SB600 Chipset

Processor - AMD 64 Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core

4GB Of RAM

320 GB Of Hard Drive SATA

Can some one please advice me on the linux installtion. Will my motherboard supports the suse linux ? I tried installing linux but i coudn't see the display and when i insert the dvd the system coudn't boot also.

Please Please advice me on the installtion if my mother board didn't supports is there any alrenate way to install Linux?

Your advice and help is highly appreciatable and it is very valuable help for me.

shouldn't be a problem with those specs. what symptoms do you get after booting with the dvd in? any chance of a corrupt dvd?

No i have downloaded the software from the Novell. When i boot the dvd it says no harware found

Please advice

IF this is an integrated system there should be no problems., make sure you go into the bios setup and have the system boot from the cd/dvd (first). after that follow the screens to install. unless you recieved a broken file download wich is possible it should install without a problem.

Do you use 32bit or 64bit installation? From your processor seem you need use 64bit version, but if you already try it, never mind
