Update From Beta2 Livecd ?

Hi,
Newbie Here.
I've been updating online 11.alpha to 11.beta1 and mucked it up 2 days ago . Can't even run YaST from the commandline.
I've download the Beta2 LiveCd thinking it would have a "repair" option; I don't want to the loose the "Users" I've created and their data on the drive.

Is there away to use the liveCd to rebuild/update without loosing the old system ?
