I'm installing the 64-bit version of openSuSE 10.3

I know my computer supports the 64-bit, however the computer freezes at "Activating USB devices" in the installation.

I've unplugged anything from the USB and I keep getting this problem. No errors, nothing, all I can do is press the restart button on my tower.

I've searched the forums but couldn't find any suggestions on troubleshooting this. I did find something regarding the drivers (I believe that's what it was) where the guy solved the problem by removing something, but I'm more comfortable getting some specified help rather than trying to adapt a solution to something I'm not familiar with.

I've got an ASUS AMD M2N32-SLI dual core motherboard. It's the wireless edition one.

I've already tried unplugging all my devices (keyboard and mouse included) and I've already tried turning USB 2.0 off.

Thanks for the advice, I'm new to Linux and it's my first time installing. Found some good tutorials on it and wanted to give it a try.

If this post isn't getting replies because I made a newb mistake please point it out for me. I've searched the forums for this problem, either nobody has experienced the same one (that I found) or the post went unreplied. I've read the newbie installation sticky.

Some feedback to this post, whether helpful to the topic or helpful to my posting etiquette on these boards would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello Yukil;
Suggest beginning at the "Start Up Log" or "System Log" and look at any error messages that may pertain to your problem then post them. I have in the past "Googled" error messages and found a wealth of information.
Good luck

Did you try the debug at the grub boot choice?.

What is last few lines you see about the activating USB devices?.

Might be bad motherboard?. Any other OS works on it?.
