Where did you get the rpm, and are there keys available from that source? Not an issue though -- just be careful where you get programs you are installing with root permission. |

Thanks for your reply.
I got it from: download from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/...SUSE_10.2/i586/ after searching using: http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ I checked it, but there are no licences or something like that. |

Hi,
the warning means, that the signature of the package could not be verified. Every package should be signed, so that you as a user can check if anyone else than the packager has changed the content of the rpm. Normally the needed public key is imported when you add a repository via yast (you will be aksed for trusting the key). If you TRUST the packager you can download the key for this repostitory http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/.../repomd.xml.key and the run "rpm --import repomd.xml.key" after that the warning should disappear, or you cann add this repository via yast and then trust the pub key. hope this helps |

Sir! there is no repomd.xml.key in: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/.../openSUSE_10.2/ It gives: Latest packages: <List> Available Groups <List> I tried to: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/.../repomd.xml.key and got: Quote:

i try a step by step guide: 1. download the key for the repository: 2. import the public key (as root) Code:
rpm --import repomd.xml.key For the packman repository i recommend to add the repository via yast. This is better for dependency resolving. Goto yast->community repositories and select packman. Then you will be asked to trust the packman key and thats all. Then install software via yast software management. hope this helps. |
