I've been messing around with yast->Bootloader and got this tiny little problem: booting openSuSe now results in verbose blackscreen console with output (as in Failsafe boot) instead of conventional splash green screen. The Kernel parameter line in GRUB says: 'resume=/dev/sdb1 splash=silent showopts'.
Any ideas how to enable back the green splash? |

What does the vga= line say in menu.lst? Mine is vga=0x317 but there are others.
Also, you might try reinstalling Splash from Software Management. I had a problem with losing splash and by removing it and reinstalling it, it came back. |

Are you sure there are no vga parameter in menu.lst for your kernel? If not, try MattB advice. The package name is 'bootsplash'.
