I have an IBM Thinkpad 600x... I love openSUSE (10.3 in particular)
Needless to say i want openSUSE on my thinkpad what would be the best way to do this if possible
Pentium3
600x series
not much RAM (this is the biggest problem)

install from the dvd,if it has a dvd reader, should work no problem. i have a dell latitude cpxj, 650mhz cpu,256mb ram,20gb hdd & it runs well

oh yeah i forgot to add it only reads cds. i tried downloading the iso image and burning it to cd but i didnt get far

if you don't have a dvd reader, you could try this

just looking back through some posts and saw this. couldn't you try saving the .iso dvd install file to an external hdd and try booting from that? if BIOS won't allow it what about smart boot manager?
