Hi

Maybe somebody could help with with a problem I have.

I'm trying to install SUSE 10.3 64 on an IBM x346 xSeries Server. I had no problems installing all previous versions of SUSE (9.0 up to 10.2). But 10.3 just gives me a headache.

After initial boot and selecting "Installation", the setup starts but stops shortly after:

Code:
[snip]

IBM eServer xSeries server mainboard
**drivers: ata_piix, piix, ata_generic, generic
**loading ata_piix
IBM ServeRAID Controller
**drivers: ips
**loading ips
Activating USB devices...
The last line is when it stops working. No hdd activity, no nothing. Unfortunately the BIOS doesn't provide the option to deactivate USB support. I even let the computer run for ~30mins to see if it times out, but nothing happens. The computer doesn't seem to hang completely as I can restart it with CTRL+ALT+DEL.
Oh, and there are no USB devices plugged in.

All other versions of SUSE report the following USB controller: 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB UHCI Controller

Any ideas?

Thanks
