Hi,
i've got a pentium2-400 where i want to install suse 9.3. Only the problem is, when the packet selection is being "examined" i get the error from the topic titel. Before i got the 5 cd's from 9.3, i tried a ftp-installation of 9.2 and 9.1. But also got (with both) that same error right after data was loaded into the ramdisk. At first i suspected that the cause was the combination of 3 sdr-ram modules, (one 128 and two 256MB modules). But i had them checked at a computerstore, they couldn't find any problems at all. I've already tried them one at a time and in different combinations, but that didn't solve the problem. I also replaced the graphics card, removed the cdrom-player, (i left in a dvdrom-player). and i've removed the soundcard but nothing solved the error. At the moment i don't know where to look anymore to find the cause..... Maybe someone of you?? greetings, Bart Grefte Pentium2, 400MHz Tekram P6B40-A4X rev1.1, biosversion 1.10. (i've already tried 1.11 beta) 1*128MB & 2*256MB SDR-RAM. 16MB AGP-card of 3DFX 8.4GB HD, western digital |
