I am trying to install NVIDIA driver but I got dependencies message
x11-video -nvidiaGO1 cannot be installed due to the missing dependencies no installable providers og nvidia-gfxG01-kmp for video etc....[attachmentid=2301] The repositories was added during the installation. Some advice please. |

Having never used the easy method myself all I can suggest is you follow the steps from http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html
There is also a one click installer mentioned there. If you choose the hard way I can help, though I do note that they have left out by mistake going to run level 3 (command init 3 in root console) to install the driver in the hard way instructions. This must be done in order for a proper install. If after following these instructions you need help please post back what steps you have taken and where you are getting stuck. Good luck ! B) |

Thanks for your cooperation.
The problem is solved. The reason was in the repositories. Finally I have realized that I have dozen of them in my repository list so I have deleted them all and I have added via yast > software > community repositories the following from the list Main repository OSS Main repository NON-OSS Main update repository NVIDIA repository Packman repository After that one click way worked fine for me. After the reboot my screen resolution was 800x600 and i have changed it via Nvidia X server settings. now I have sound card, card reader and wifi left. |
