Welcome to the forum, Stipi69!
Sorry to hear you are having a problem with your openSUSE installation. We all get tiny problems every now and then. While I do not have any notebook computers currently running openSUSE, I have two Dell desktops running with Intel integrated graphics. One of the Dells, an OptiPlex GX 150, has 512 MB RAM and 1 MB (yes, one) of shared video RAM. I have not tested out any games but the ones that came with the DVD. Chromium runs just fine with 3D acceleration. So, if that will run, surely yours will since you have much better specifications. I like the Intel integrated graphics thus far. For regular use, they work fine. As for setting up the video cards, I stick with the standard settings found in YaST. I do not have any modifications, so not sure about the extra options you may have with your setup. It seems that there is probably something set incorrectly and therefor easily fixed. I remember a check box somewhere to turn on the 3D effects, so maybe this will get you pointed in the right direction. Also, it can be extremely beneficial for trouble shooting purposes if you can list you software as well as hardware specifications. There are several different versions of openSUSE, as well as the desktop environments (KDE, GNOME, Xfce, etc.), so giving more info would assist those who wish to help you. As far as your English, you are doing just fine. You have a much better command of the English language than the majority of native speakers I have to interact with on a daily basis. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. |
