I recently purchased a Sony Viao on sale. It came with Vista Home Premium installed. There is also a ton of other software installed. When I boot up there are 85 processes running. Needless to say it runs really slow.

I intend to uninstall Vista. Is there anywhere I can go to get a step by step instruction? I intend to install SuSe Linux.

Any suggestions/guidance/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have my own business and plan to use the laptop while on travel.

Thanks in advance.

if you never intend to use Vista ( never tried it personally, not a windows man ) just pop in your SuSE cd/dvd & boot from it. then, when it comes to partitioning, tell it to use the whole disk. SUSE will then happily wipe all traces of windows from your p.c./laptop

Dang! That sounds too easy. I guess Bill Gates must not have anything to do with Linux!?

I am afraid you will not succeed in getting your money back for your not wanted Vista.
