Hi,

I have a problem with ambient light sensor on Asus Z71A (almost identical as Z71V)

1. I would like to disable it and use Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 to control brightness of the display manually, would be the best. I can't find the solution how to do this....

When it works in automatic mode - display is brighter or dimer in dependence on external light conditions - it is too dark in default. It is brighter when more light is around me, but it is still too dim to my liking.

I have found, that I can modify file ls_level (I think it is file...) in folder /sys/devices/platform/asus-laptop/ and make my display brighter.
All I do is I type in Terminal as su
#echo 3 > ls_level
But, when I reboot, I have to do this again.

2. How do I make it permanent?

Thanks
Bertik
