hello,
i am having a HP Pavilion dv9393ea and a HP Pavilion dv8284ea and i have the same problem in both of them! When i start the laptop and i am on my desktop on wall supply power, automatically switches to full power of the CPU (2GHz) instead of 1GHz. If i realize it from kpowersave -> choose active scheme -> acoustic then it will work normaly, if i don't... its getting so hot that switches off!!! How can i make it automatically to switch to the scheme i want? what are the best options i can choose such that when the laptop is idle, the CPU to work at lowest possible and when it is active to the highest? thank you |

hi...
aafter long search i have found the reason and i have fixed it! i would like to share it with you in case other people got the same problem. the problem is on kpowersave program. if this doesn't start, linux get the configuration as in yast2, BUT if it starts.. then the problem start. so i fixed it by creating a new profil in kpowersave and i made it to be quiet and use the lowest possible Hz. so this problem is fixed... if someone got more questiosn please reply. i am glad to help |
