Add the following boot parameter to grub

ACPI=NOIRQ

Looks like you are having an ACPI issue.

thank you. but nothing changed, after i put the clause
i am really curios;
acpi=off noresume & acpi=noirq
look same. are they same?

No it's not the same:
ACPI=OFF will disable ACPI
ACPI=NOIRQ won't assign irqs to acpi

You can try disabling USB legacy in BIOS.

no change.
i tried everything.
i guess; msi does not support linux, something wrong about that.
all suse users espcially 10.0 are satisfied. (i read somewhere, they installed succesfully)
i'll install suse again.
thanks for replies

A quickie: happened to me long ago. I detached all usb but usbmouse & rebooted -- fixed.
then connected other usb, reboot -- is ok. I don't know why it worked for me. I don't know if it would work for you either.

Gark -- sometimes I should shutup/cruise on by(e)
cheers

Are you saying, you can't use USB at all ? Or just the mouse ?

sorry, because of my english.
i wanted to say i can not to use software,program or command about usb. like lsusb,
usbview on gnome, or another gnome's programs about that.
when i typed lsusb, nothing happened.
until now i haven't time to install again. but after that i'll write the results...
another point, when i tried install suse, at first time, it's frozen. than i picked out the mouse
during installing. after that i succes to install suse but i can not use usb mouse.
may be, that declares the situation.
thanks again.

ps: i didn't try another usb device. it's more simple install again.

Post some info on your hardware.

Do you have any other OS installed on this machine ? Does USB work when you boot into that other OS ?

Did you compile a kernel yourself ? Or are you using the default precompiled kernel ?

Does /var/log/messages say anything about your USB ? Does it gets detected correctly ?
