I have a toshiba 6100 here that has an internal sd card reader, and under linux it is not working when i put an sd card in. Is there some module that i need to load for it to work?

Same issue with a Dell Inspiron 6000. Would love to have the SD reader working under SOL 10.1. Hmmm.. SOL = SuSE Open Linux...hope that isn't meaning anything.. <_<

yeah found out that toshiba have proprietry driver for their sd card readers on their laptops and are not giving out the source code probably the same with dell.

Have you taken a look at the tail end of
Code:
dmesg
after plugging in the card?
