Thumbs up

Hey.
I have the laptop mentioned in header, Uniwill 223II0. I'm running Suse 9.3 on it with default kernel. BIOS is version 1.06. I'd like to know if anyone of you has managed to get the CPU temperature sensor to work? I get constant 11 celsius reading out of it, which obviously is not correct. I did sensors-detect with lm-sensors and installed the modules it suggested.

Also I have some troubles with suspend, both to ram and hd. Anyone get those working? My suspend to ram does not wake the monitor and my suspend to hd boots up normally (ie. does not resume the saved state) after wake up.

Anyone care to give me some pointers?

Cheers!

Hi,

download the new bios 1.10 which fixes the temperature problem.
I hace the same problems with Suspend to Ram/Disk. If I tried APM instead of APCI, Suspend to Ram was working as I remember, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check it again.

REALLY?!! WOW! GREAT!
BTW I managed to get my Suse9.3 to do Suspend2RAM, I was missing the correct video driver. More info here -> http://www.susewiki.org/index.php?ti...d_NVidia_HOWTO

Your model has NVidia graphic chip. I' thought all 223IIO have integrated Intel chip, so as mine.
Or am I missing something?

Ummm .... well yes, mine has also Intel Graphics ... dunno what I was thinking, but main thing is that it is now working, so I´m not complaining. Maybe it was the AGP-setting also mentioned in the guide above.

Well, I've tried to remove intel-agp module and set acpi_sleep boot parameter according the guide but with no result. The screen is still black
I'll try it again with the clean new installation.
Would you be so kind to tell me, what boot parameters do you use and which exact module do you use for the graphics? Maybe your /etc/X11/xorg.conf would help or I don't know.
