Anybody had any luck on getting the tv out and the external monitor working on a suse 9.2 system?
Are there any drivers/configs that allow me to clone display or dualhead the external display and/or the s-video out?
I have a jewel topaz 9600, pentium M 1.6Gb with intel (uniwill) 855 GME display driver. Suse recognises 2 855GM's in the hardware tool, though in sax2 I can only configure 1. I suppose it's something to do with 2 display ports or so.

Thanks, Hanno

Did anyone ever find a complete solution to this? I was able to take an x86config file from here: http://mgalug.org/xorg/855gm, take out the "important" parts, and by some strange shock load X and find that aside from my laptop screen my 2nd screen showed up with another desktop on it.

Nonetheless after this SaX2 still gives me a hard time acknowledging and getting to work even 1 video card and monitor let alone both of them (evidently when it choses to detect my Hyundai ImageQuest L90D has undetectable specs.... and when my laptop screen is detected the wrong setting show up, but somehow i get the right ones).

My ultimate goal is to get it so i can have my external monitor as the primary on and the laptop screen as the secondary. ( i dont know quite if that makes sense or its just something i shouldn't be carrying over from windoze, but i think see that X treats the one different than the other, although that could be a result of the external screen being all out of sync until the 1st is done)

thanks for the help, sorry for being a partial newbie

dan

p.s

I have a gateway M275 with the 855GME and a 14in screen with a native resolution of 1024x768
I'm using the latest version of Suse (as of 07/07/05 - it was the 10th distro and 15th instillation i tried before i got something with any sort of working Xwindows)
