Hi guys,

Everything worked fine on 9.2 except fot the fact the i had to use ext2 (annoying after a cold shutdown), so i decided to update to 9.3.

Here's the problem, the laptop works fine when its plugged in, as soon as i unplug the power cord it works for 10 secs (not always a regular amount of time but usually <1min). I guess this has something to do with the power functions, any idea on what could be going wrong? Are there any logs of files that i could copy and post on this board to help?

Cheers in advance

Note to Mods: If this topic shouldn't be here please move it (i wasn't sure if it was hardware, install, software,ect... so i put it in general for you to decide)

I don't have a laptop so I can't confirm - but doesn't Yast either in System or Network have an option to configure the power saving?

i just tried going into that but it crashed when i tried to do something.

I was going to try selecting this

Plugged in: Performance
Batteries: Performance

then this would tell me if it was anything to do with this, but it crashed
