Hi Forum
I wounder if someone can guide me on how to change reselution on a Thinkpad. I have succesfully installed my first SUSE 9.1. But I only get a 800X600 and it is very "corny" reselution. I do not know how to change this. I wounder if there is a possibel to 1024 X 768 and some higher colour scale. |

Go into Yast - Hardware - Graphics and Monitor - Click Changes in Desktop Settings - Click on Monitor in the SaX2 Screen, then Click on Properties, in the left pane scroll down and click on IBM, then in the right pane click on Thinkpad 1024x768 TFT, then click on the expert tab and enter the exact screen size in mm (both x and y, x = along, y = up). Then click on okay and then I think you have to click on Finalize and make any adjustments to the screen positioning as necessary, then I think it's just a case of clicking on accept or okay (I am doing this from memory).
That is what I used and it works fine. |
