I have just upgraded an install of 9.1 pro to 9.2 pro. Things have gone well except for the mouse. The D800 has something called a "Dell DualPoint pointing device" which is a Touch Pad & Track Stick. Both mice worked fine in 9.1 but now I have installed 9.2, the track stick doesn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas why?

Could be the settings in the bios.
I have the D640 and the doubleclick on the touchpad won't work in Ubuntu but does with the SuSE 9.2 live dvd
There are 3 settings in the bios for the pad/stick/mouse.
The default lets you switch whenever you want, the other one should shut off the track when a mouse is attached and there is another but I can't remember that setting.
To get into the bios of your laptop you have to hit the F2 key during boot-up. To move between pages in the bios use <alt> P .

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately I am still in the same condition. I have used different combinations in the BIOS but no joy. Bizarrely I have discovered if you use the stick first you can continue to use it in addition to the touch pad but the buttons don't work on the stick but they do on the pad. If you use the touchpad first then the stick won't work. This points to a software problem, maybe the driver has changed and borken support for this. This is really annoying because 9.1 was quite happy with the stick / pad combination out of the box but I have wasted hours trying to get 9.2 to work.
